Covell Communities is an Eastern Shore-based builder and developer of residential dwellings in nature-inspired communities. Our mission is a commitment to the enrichment of life through the creation of extraordinary homes and communities; we believe that giving our customers well-crafted homes specifically customized to their needs, in a relaxed community setting, can offer unmatched rewards to their quality of life.

Our Story

Our company was founded in 2006 by Chuck Covell, a third-generation Maryland builder with a deep appreciation for the architecture and rich history of the region. Chuck's two decades of prior experience as a homebuilder, developer and entrepreneur gave Covell Communities strong standards for architectural purity, quality construction and site selection. His vision for creating communities of distinction, his passion for design and his craftsmanship standards built a solid company, with a strong team to carry it forward. Despite his passing in 2019, we remain a successful company committed to the core values he established, including excellence in our craftsmanship, dedication to our customers, and integrity in all of our processes.

Our Home Designs
Covell Communities takes great pride in each of our homes. Our success is based on the care we give each customer throughout the home-building process. As such, while we are a production builder, our size and volume allow us to customize each floor plan to best match the customer's needs. Over many years we developed more than a dozen distinct model designs that form the basis for each customization. Our award-winning designs are inspired by the architecture and style of Maryland's Eastern Shore. Our goal is always to create a product that goes the extra mile in each detail. Exterior designs contain classic trim features like cornices and full-length front porches with brick-wrapped piers; interior trim packages feature chair rail, crown molding and box wainscoting, lending elegance to the homes' cottage style.

Part of our commitment to our customers is building and developing in communities that are lifestyle driven. We are proponents of traditional neighborhood design, and most of our homes are located in communities with amenities like clubhouses, swimming pools, outdoor gathering spots, and sponsored neighborhood activities that provide ample opportunities for residents to meet their neighbors and enjoy the Eastern Shore lifestyle. Covell communities has strong ties to this region, and a belief in the quality of life benefits it offers our clients.
